Most golfers focus on shaft flex, loft, or grip — but few pay attention to one of the most important specs in the entire club build: lie angle.

Lie angle is the angle formed between the shaft and the sole of the club when it sits at address. It determines how the club interacts with the turf at impact — and that directly affects where your ball starts and how it curves.

If your lie angle is too upright, the toe lifts off the ground and the face points left (for a right-handed player). Too flat, and the heel lifts — sending your shots right.
In other words, even a 1–2° difference can be the difference between a tight dispersion pattern and missing every green to one side.
